Dear Students,

You will very soon find yourselves in a totally new  educational, social and natural environment, but we are all here to help you adjusting in it!

I would like though to ask you to inform me via e-mail about the exact day of your arrival.

The International Relations Office of the University of Thessaly is in Volos and it serves all the five cities of our University. It is natural for these students whose Departments are in Volos to appear in our Office. The other ones don’t need to do so, they have to appear directly at the Secretariat of their Departments either in Larissa, Karditsa, Trikala or in Lamia.

Please meet:

Department of Medicine ( Larisa)          Ms Chrysa FOURLARI

Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology ( Larisa)                 Ms Aspa TSEKOU

Department of Sports Science  and Physical Education ( Trikala)     Ms Katerina THOMA

Department of Veterinary Medicine ( Karditsa)          Ms Marina MPOUNTOLOU

Department of Computer Science (Lamia)        Ms Malamo PATRIKOU

Department  of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics ( Lamia)     Ms Despoina BILALI

On your first day in the University of Thessaly, you will get informed about all administrative issues that may concern you, either by us here in the International Relations Office or in the Secretariats of the other Departments, as mentioned above.

Concerning academic issues ( Learning Agreement, timetables e.t.c.) you have to contact your Departmental Coordinators.

Please see for each Department:

Concerning accommodation,

For the students in Volos, you must come to our Office and inform us whether you have already found an apartment/house to stay or if you need some help to do so.  In this case you will get a list of  the residences available and you can then make an appointment with the owners to see which one  best suits your needs.  It is  better to come to our Office around 11.00 a.m. so that we have enough time to arrange everything.

For the students in the other cities, you may get some help for house searching from your Departmental Coordinators.

All students must get enrolled at their Department  and to give a copy of their Learning Agreement to the Secretariat.

In case  you have not already sent us all necessary documents, please bring them all with you at your arrival

Erasmus students will get informed about the Welcome Day and other activities by the “ Announcements” on our website and also by e-mail/

Looking forward to welcoming you in Greece and in the University of Thessaly!

Best Regards,

Filomila Mougogianni
