Vous êtes étudiants français ou originaire en France, Erasmus ou autre, actuellement en Grèce et vous vous interrogez sur la conduite à tenir : rester ou rentrer en France.
La décision vous appartient mais le délai de réflexion est très court, il est possible que les liaisons aériennes commerciales, déjà restreintes, soient interrompues dès dimanche prochain.
Si vous décidiez de rester, il est impératif de vous assurer que vous disposez des moyens de subsistance nécessaire (moyens financiers, logement approprié et durable) et que vous soyez en mesure d’assumer ce choix pour une période indéterminée.
Si vous décidez de rentrer, il vous appartient de prendre contact dès aujourd’hui avec une compagnie aérienne (Air France et Aegean assurent encore un vol quotidien chacune) pour préparer votre retour à partir d’Athènes.
Sauf pour une raison impérative vous choisissiez de rester en Grèce alors que votre université d’accueil est fermée pour une longue période, il vous est fortement recommandé d’organiser votre retour en France dans de très brefs délais.
Si vous connaissez d’autres étudiants français dans votre cas, merci de leur transférer ce message.

Dear students, 

Please contact us for anything you need regarding your stay in Volos and your mobility in the University of Thessaly. 

However, please, also keep in contact with your institutions and your erasmus offices for further advice and guidelines concerning these extreme circumstances. 

 

Please, send an email to your Departmental Coordinator regarding how you will proceed with the courses you were attending.

Concerning the Greek language course, you will soon receive an email from the professor with instructions on how the course will be conducted from now on. 

Please, avoid visiting the University premises or the administration offices, unless it is absolutely necessary. Taking into consideration the recent preventive measures, you are strongly advised to communicate via email or phone.

Also, please, adhere to the travel advice about the coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the decision of the Ministry of Education, all educational activities of the University of Thessaly have been suspended for 14 days, from 11.3.2020 to 24.3.2020. The Administrative Services will continue operating.

Also, according to  the Rectorate’s most recent mandate all incoming and outgoing mobilities have been suspended until further notice.

We regret to inform you that the 5th International Staff Training Week of the University of Thessaly, from 30th of March to 3rd of April 2020, is cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that is now unfortunately spreading all around the world.

Therefore, for safety reasons and in compliance with the National regulations and the Rectorate’s most recent mandate, we have to cancel our staff week.

Regarding the situation that emerged, there has been issued a cancellation of all events organized by the University in order to limit the spreading of the virus.

We would like to thank everyone for their willingness to participate in the 5th International Staff Training Week. Under these circumstances we have decided that priority will be given to those of you who wish to apply to next year’s Staff Week.

The University of Thessaly kindly invites you to the Winter semester Welcome Day, on Thursday October 3rd, at 11:00 am, in the Saratsi Auditorium of the Delmouzos Building, Papastratos Seafront Building Complex, Argonafton & Filellinon Str., Volos. The University would like to officially welcome its incoming students for the Winter semester and the full academic year 2019/20.
