The University of Thessaly kindly invites you to its 9th International Staff Week, which will take place from July 6th to July 10th, 2026, in Volos, Greece.

We warmly welcome staff members interested in visiting the University of Thessaly and becoming familiar with its academic and administrative practices, within the framework of this Erasmus Staff Training Week. We consider this event an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, promote internationalization, and further strengthen our institutional partnerships through in-person interaction. During these five days, participants will have the opportunity to share best practices, interact with representatives from European and international universities, present their own institutions, and gain insights into exchange programmes.
Additionally, participants will be introduced to Greek language and culture and will receive the relevant certificate. A series of cultural activities has also been planned to enrich the overall experience.
The registration fee amounts to 280 Euros and includes participation in all scheduled activities, such as the excursion to the monastic community of Meteora (including meals), visits to the university campuses in Larissa, the trip to Pelion Mountain (including coffee and brunch), as well as all conference-related expenses (materials and coffee/brunch breaks).
Participants are expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
They are also kindly invited to present their institutions (e.g. through promotional material, photographs, leaflets, etc.).
*The program may be subject to minor modifications; in any case, participants will be informed in a timely manner.
The lessons will take place every Tuesday, from 16:00 to 18:00, in room A2, at the Department of Economics (28hs Octovriou 78, Volos, P.C. 38333)
There will also be an online course every Thursday, from 17:00 to 19:00.
We are happy to announce the Welcome Days for the incoming students of the spring semester.

The Greek Language Courses starts on Wednesday, October 2nd.
The courses will take place every Tuesday, from 18.00 to 20.00, at room A2 in the Matsaggou building. The Matsaggou building is the new building of the Department of Economics and is situated on 78, 28hs Octovriou Str.
If you cannot attend the onsite course, there’ll also be an online one every Thursday from 18.00 to 20.00.

Through getting to know University personnel from every corner of the world, the participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and good practices, to strengthen their already existing cooperation, but also to carry out new ones.
In addition, visitors, except from getting familiarized with the University of Thessaly and the way it operates, will have the opportunity to acquire basic knowledge of the Greek language and culture and receive the relevant certificate of participation.
