After a Presidential Decree and for public health reasons, the University dormitories have to be shut down from 25.03.2020 until 10.04.2020.
You should evacuate your rooms as soon as possible and definately before the 25th of March. In case of Erasmus+ students there will be a provision of housing in hotels or other establishments.
As soon as there is more information, there is going to be a new announcement.

Please contact us for anything you need regarding your stay in Volos and your mobility in the University of Thessaly.
However, please, also keep in contact with your institutions and your erasmus offices for further advice and guidelines concerning these extreme circumstances.
Please, send an email to your Departmental Coordinator regarding how you will proceed with the courses you were attending.
Concerning the Greek language course, you will soon receive an email from the professor with instructions on how the course will be conducted from now on.
Please, avoid visiting the University premises or the administration offices, unless it is absolutely necessary. Taking into consideration the recent preventive measures, you are strongly advised to communicate via email or phone.
Also, please, adhere to the travel advice about the coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to the decision of the Ministry of Education, all educational activities of the University of Thessaly have been suspended for 14 days, from 11.3.2020 to 24.3.2020. The Administrative Services will continue operating.
Also, according to the Rectorate’s most recent mandate all incoming and outgoing mobilities have been suspended until further notice.
We regret to inform you that the 5th International Staff Training Week of the University of Thessaly, from 30th of March to 3rd of April 2020, is cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak that is now unfortunately spreading all around the world.
Therefore, for safety reasons and in compliance with the National regulations and the Rectorate’s most recent mandate, we have to cancel our staff week.
Regarding the situation that emerged, there has been issued a cancellation of all events organized by the University in order to limit the spreading of the virus.
We would like to thank everyone for their willingness to participate in the 5th International Staff Training Week. Under these circumstances we have decided that priority will be given to those of you who wish to apply to next year’s Staff Week.
