Hiking at KISSAVOS (CALYPSO CANYON)
On Wednesday, 29th May 2019, the office of Physical Education of the University of Thessaly, organizes an one-day hiking trip to KISSAVOS mountain.
(Calypso Canyon)
Crossing of the Canyons on the eastern sides of Mount. Kissavos and Mavrovounio. An amazing combination of rappelling,descendance of vertical parts of rocks and waterfalls with climbing equipment and swimming in crystal clear natural lakes.
Calypso Canyon: Enjoy the view of the biggest waterfall (70 meters) of Kissavos at the amazing canyon "Calypso" on the upper side of the villages Κokkino Νero and Karytsa.We will walk through the overgrown path at the bottom of the waterfall and enjoy a dive in the crystal clear waters. After a hike of about 2 to 3 hours, we stop at the Stomio beach for two hours of swimming. Then, there is a meal at a traditional tavern.
The bus will depart at 07:00, φρομ the central entrance of the University of Thessaly in Larissa.(Former TEI). For those living at the dorms and Agios Thomas and for those living at the center the bus will be at 07:15 in Agios Achillios.
Arrival at 18:30.

Sport – Hiking boots Comfortable - Light Clothing
Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen 2nd pair of socks
2nd pair of underwear,swimsuit and a towel water,dry food (Sandwich,fruit), personal medication (if someone needs it).

A strict line of priority will be kept.The cost is 7 euros per person. Reservation is valid upon payment at the Office of Physical Education. In case the mandatory number of people is insufficient or in case of bad weather the trip will not take place.
On Wednesday 15 May 2019, a day trip to Arachthos river will be held. The trip will include rafting in the river and a visit to the ancient monument of Dodona. The group will depart at 06:00 from the city centre of Larissa and at 06:15 from the central entrance of the University of Thessaly in Larissa (former TEI of Larissa).
